The idea to create a jooga (Finnish for yoga) application was born in 2012. A group of Finnish women living in Germany met weekly to practice yoga in their mother tongue. This led to the idea of creating an application to continue practicing yoga at home and wherever they might be.
The Gotta Joga team, led by Finn Maija Airas-Ceri and a group of experienced professionals, offers yoga enthusiasts a unique experience. The app allows anyone to discover the benefits of yoga through educational videos. The courses are designed by professional yoga teachers and are adapted to different levels of experience as well as the rhythm of the day: basic postures in the morning, more dynamic during the day and specifically oriented towards relaxation in the evening. Gotta Joga is easily accessible and aimed at people of all levels, from absolute beginners who want to discover the "well-being" of yoga to experienced practitioners who regularly go to a yoga studio but enjoy practicing at home in their free time.

The interface is cute and inviting and the videos easy to follow and suitable for an at home practice.You get a complete offering of classes, exercises you can do on your own and meditation as well. They have just added some super beginner session so really something for everybody. The app gets regularly refreshed too.

I have moderate yoga experience and after weeks of searching for just the right yoga app, I’m home with Gotta Joga. Love the Apple TV and Apple Watch integration, which fits my needs while at home or on the go. Very reasonably priced for a year compared to others. Many great choices from 5 minutes to 60 and beyond if I have the time. With the mantras and meditation sessions offered in addition to the yoga, it is very well rounded. I’m a real person/mom who works full time and has a busy home life, too. I am so happy that I found Gotta Joga and it fits wonderfully into my life. I have been using this app for more than a year now, almost from the day it was launched. I just did my second yearly subscription, because I’m very satisfied. Cheaper than a yoga studio in the place where I currently live. They add new programs regularly, and provide help through the feedback form, if a user has questions. These questions and answers sometimes make it to the blog if they are beneficial for other yogis. Also, the descriptions of the asanas are very detailed, so if you pay attention to your body and how it feels, it can be quite safe to practice with this app. Special lessons for pranayama are also available! Overall, very supportive and creative team. It is worth it, buying a monthly subscription to check if their style suits you.
For years I’ve been practicing yoga and using several apps for it. I subscribed to some but they are not the same, and they do not deliver as exactly the same. Some are so fast that you get the feeling of being in haste all the time during the sections. This Gotta Joga app is exceptionally different. It calms you down! No rushing, no pain, but simply fun all the way through. I love the stretching dedicated to runners as well as the hip openers seances. They help loosen my tightened muscles after running. Furthermore, the female voice is soothing as if she communicating directly with you. Funny but true, this app makes me love my yoga practice like my running sections. I highly recommend it.
Perfect for my busy life. 3 kids, work, home. I was neglecting myself and this app gives me the chance to get even just a few minutes in if that's all I have. The models and the narration mesh well and are both descriptive and calming making this easy for beginners or an more intermediate yogi like me who strayed a little from the path!
